Well like so many other things I do with the web in my personal life I have an idea but never follow through. Projects cool, getting started cool, carrying on and blogging not so cool.
I’ve decided to take on this tumblr lark and put it on a sub domain of main site. Simply because then I can just discard if need be. So why on earth am I starting this? Well Adam Boulton of One Idea has been posting articles and things he finds interesting on his site and quite frankly I like the look of it as but more importantly the content. It’s perfect for a quick look and hello.
I personally don’t have time to do that (but Boulton does - kidding mate). I have some thoughts that I never get to write down, and while Facebook, Flickr and Wordpress are bloody amazing tools in so many ways I can’t express myself other than in photos - which in some cases can over exposed lets say - or too detailed an complicated i.e. Wordpress with all it’s tagging. Though very, very, useful for search and the like is not want I want.
My personality should be in my blog but my blogging software should reflect me. Though I can customise Wordpress, delve in to code and the like; I simply want to have fun and publish stuff I find or think.
The main part of my website Freshhome.co.uk needs to be the place way I serve all my social activity in to one page. Imagine if you will liking each premier league football match a social space e.g. Facebook or Flickr and within the matches are social actions, e.g. uploading a photo to share. I would then like Freshhome.co.uk to be Match of The Day, where all my social activity is highlighted on way page and can act as a launch site.
I think it is possible, I think it can be done. So like many others starting blog posts it comes with enthusiasm and promise, but I hope this one is a lot more fun!
